A simple photo from 1968 Sucieava, showing an unusual, rounded car, clearly not a Communist one. Surprisingly, it turns out to be a Jaguar Mk IX! These cars, made between 1959 and 1961, were fairly similar to the Jaguar Mk VIII, but with a sunroof as standard. (So this could also be a MK VIII with a sunroof fitted.) I wonder what it was doing in Sixties Suceava. Possibly an ex-diplomatic car; possibly a tourist's. Photo 3 shows a Mk VIII on the Black Sea Coast, also with an unclear history. From the 1960s to the late 70s, the Romanian state ran several of the later Jaguar Mk X, made in 1965.

Jaguar Mk IX ... in Romania
Posibil era o fosta masina diplomatica, posibil era o masina straina in trecere.
